I am typing this in Dvorak with only a few errors. Apparently it just takes a few minutes to come back to me. I tried typing the alphabet and got stuck, but typed a few words, and it came trickling back. Now I must be sure I know how to type my work password, or set it back to qwerty for now. :)

Thats why I like my OmniKey 101, a small keypress and I can switch back and forth... OS Independant.

I just _HAVE_ to ask...

How does it feel typing "qwerty" on a dvorak layout? weird? ;)

We've had two Belgian engineers over at work. In Belgium, they use a slightly different keyboard layout -- and some of the most crucial keys have changed position.
I love qwerty -- I can type quite fast without having to think where all of the keys are, even though I never had a proper education as a touch-typist. Sure, it's sub-optimal in theory, but in practice I think my typing speed is more constrained by my thought process than the actual typing.
