Free at last
Boss: So tomorrow's your last day? Nothing for you to really do. It's up to you if you want to stay -- you'll still get paid.

Me: Hmmm... (Took me about ten minutes to pack up and walk out)

Here's to the two and a half years of zombifying graveyard shift. Here's to the self-contradicting management, and the RFID project that never went live because the plant shut down. Here's to the titanium in my leg and the paychecks still coming till October.

I'm free.

Anyone want to go to dinner tonight? Saturn perhaps? :)

Time to get the chip removed? At least I'm assuming the titanium is a chip they had implanted in you, given that whole RFID thing.

Heehee. RFID was for the cassettes of hard drive disks that went through the plant...

The titanium went in my leg to make it more sturdy after the fall off the ladder broke my femur. (http://anysize.org/~ashi/xrays/)

Ah, I did not know about the rod in leg. Of course, that could lead to amusing lines like "hey baby, did you know that I've a titanium rod?" ;P
