Stop me before I volunteer again...
At Conjecture last weekend (which was a lot of fun... I should post on that too), browsing the fan tables, I seemed to vaguely remember something about Conzilla (Westercon next year in San Diego) needing someone to run the anime room.

Silly me... I inquired as to whether they needed someone.

Before I knew it, I had volunteered to run the anime room at Conjecture, and at ConDor.

ConDor is March 3-5 in San Diego, and the guest of honor in 2006 will be Christopher Stasheff, which has me wanting to try ConDor anyway. Yes, I've never been to ConDor, and I'm running the anime room. It's a small to medium con from what I know of it, and ideas for daily themes and overnight marathons are already running through my head.

Conzilla is the 59th Westercon. They want to go with a science fiction theme for the anime room, which should be pretty cool. I'll bet I can throw in some fantasy too, and maybe Scrapped Princess (both).

I will probably be driving to both so I can drag equipment and people with me. If they don't cover a sleeping room for us, I'll cover all or most of that. Who wants to help run an anime room or two? :)

Yes, you do. I would choose the SF Bay Area or maybe the L.A. area (depending on your smog tolerance). San Diego is also a nice place.

They all have plenty of good SF cons.

The Bay Area has Yaoicon and Fanime and Anime Overdose. L.A. area has Anime Los Angeles (one of my all-time favorites) and Anime Expo. San Diego has Comic Con.

There is something seroiusly wrong with you. The weather in Cali is love (Northern Cali, at least)

But then again, I don't like people moving to CA. I hope our earthquakes will keep you away

Not that seriously wrong, at least weather-wise. :) I like the rain too. mirokus_heir, if you prefer the Northwest weather, about the closest we have is San Francisco. It doesn't rain as much as Seattle, but it stays nice and cool even in the summer.
