Where did those 10 years go?

10 years ago on SuperBowl Sunday, I drove Priscilla home and went to see The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at The Oaks in Cupertino, with Anne, as an Anti-SuperBowl celebration. The car promptly got named Priscilla and lasted me a good 5 years through lots of adventures with her pretty anime paint job. One of those years, I put 30,000 miles on her.

I still have the painted pieces of Priscilla. I now own the movie, which I will probably watch tonight. I only saw Anne a few times after that... too bad. Here's to a great car some of you will remember fondly.

We must be having fun at least some of the time for it to fly so far so quickly...

Btw did you like my comment on your panel about the painted car? Heehee...

It was fun to meet people and then realize they already knew about my car. :)

That paintjob reminds me of something from a long, long time ago, but I can't remember... Care to refresh my memory?

Do the pictures remind you of something? That one photo is Vampire Hunter D (pre-"Bloodlust") with Vampire Princess Miyu. If you click on the "Priscilla" link on the post, it'll show you all of the pictures I had painted on that car, and who the characters are.

I've had a website about the car for a long time, and first posted a link on usenet in 1996 on rec.arts.anime:
Note: The link in the post is outdated.

I also have one LJ icon so far with P-chan from the car...

I hadn't seen the photos, just the one you posted in this entry. And on my way back from work, I remember: there was this 'graphic novel' (probably French, perhaps Belgian) about a trippy fantasy world -- it was serialised in a boys' comic weekly when I was a kid.
And the main female lead had a hat and cloak just like that.

It's a pity I can't remember the name, or I'd Google up some pictures of her.
