Undead cat?
Hi! Long time no update.

Anyway, I glanced over at Charybdis, and she freaked me out. It looked like her eyelids were open, but her pupils were gone... just white eyes... and her front legs were sticking up... and she was twitching.

Bluargh, I am a zombie kitty!

I looked it up, and just like Vulcans, cats have inner eyelids. I think that's what I saw.

Cats can, indeed, sleep with their eyes open. Our cat, Chibi, also does that occasionally.
When we weren't sure whether he was deaf or not, he freaked out klik by not reacting to any sounds and lying on his back with his eyes open... She honestly thought he had died, but when she touched him, he was startled!

Freaky indeed.

Cats do in fact have a nictitating membrane, but it's rare to see it. It might be an indication that something is irritating her eyes, like if she's allergic to something. I'd be concerned if you see it again.

Yep, they do. And as long as you only see it when she's sleepy it's ok.
