arrrr!

Free con cab?

I live in a nice little city (bigger than San Francisco) where we have had, for a few years now, an anime con and a science fiction con the same weekend. So, what if I offered to drive people between Baycon and Fanime for free? I would post operating hours (others by appointment), my cell phone number, disclaimers (such as that this is not endorsed by either convention), and possibly have people sign a release. I might also drive a few people to meals out if scheduling allows. I'd have a donation jar to help with gas money.

Instead of a video conferencing link between the cons, I could be a physical link. Someone from Fanime might want to check out the evening room parties at Baycon. Someone from Baycon might want to go check out all the anime hall costumes, or the Saturday night Midnight Madness. And I would get the fun of trying something new, seeing plenty of both cons, showing off Honda Tohru the car... Sure, there's light rail, but the hours at night aren't all that great... Oh, and the perfect excuse to completely clean my car!
