Fresh & Easy's better. I wish I had one near me.

Sorry. It was the one at Curtner near Almaden Expressway, right near a semi-bargain movie house.

That looks completely vintage. While I am typically disappointed to see stores/buildings with "character" replaced, I do hope the new vendor will be of good service to you.

Fresh and Easy is a wanna-be Trader Joe's. It's not bad, but it's not TJs.

Warren came across it today. He said the closure was rather sudden and noticed the Original Pancake House in the same shopping center had also shut down.

Fresh and Easy is owned by Tesco, the largest grocery store chain in Europe.

It's better than fast & easy, which is a convenience store It was once Speedy Mart when I was a kid. I used to go there all the time, it was the closest place on foot. After a long while of it being that name, suddenly one day it changed to Fast & Easy. I was laughing all the way back from the store. After that it kept changing names. Either the owner was suffering with multiple personalities or it was changing hands A LOT.
