Feeling Gutsy
I installed Ubuntu 7.10 last night, Gutsy Gibbon, on my laptop. I also switched to the AMD64 build, so I wasn't able to just do the upgrade.

I used to have video freeze up on me for a few seconds now and then (while audio would continue) while watching anime. It would happen more when running on battery. That is all cleared up now! Not sure whether it's the AMD build or Gutsy or both, but I'm happy. Gutsy Gibbon also likes my internal wireless adaptor, so I'll only have to use the USB one when I need to reach out to grab a signal.

Tonight is Deaf Coffee. Happy Friday!

I am currently downloading it. Hopefully it will be easy enough to make my laptop duel boot so ! can sim on windows and do other stuff on Ubuntu.

I like the idea of duel boot... two operating systems shoot it out! Which one will boot up, and which one will get the boot? :)

Currently, I am enjoying a stable Feisty Fawn installation. I'm not sure if I want to try to upgrade -- it works now, why risk breaking it?
But for new installations from scratch, I'd definately go with the courageous primates!

Yeah, now that it's all working right, I'm hesitant to upgrade right away the next time there's a new release. But I will be reading reviews to see if there are any new features I want.

I tried Gutsy Gibbon and it doesn't work atm on my comp(But then it is filled with propietary bullcrap). =/. I am thinking of switching to Arch Linux, FreeBSD 7 or Slackware, or maybe Fedora something(As long as I can get backports).

Any ideas ``

Proprietary bullcrap... not sure what to recommend beyond replacement, heh. Best bet if you want to keep the bullcrap would be to try all of those and see what works.
