Good morning from Tokyo. Supposed to hit 35 C / 95 F today, with 70% humidity. Other than the weather, it's cool here.

I met a guy named Keith from Toronto Canada and his local friend Ryoko last night, and we had Indian food nearby. The Japanese version of chana masala is similar to the American version.

We're going to Akihabara today, and might go for Ethiopian food today.

My hotel room has a bed, a bit of walkway, and a bathroom a lot smaller than mine. I'm glad it has air conditioning.

My cell phone includes such features as a Japanese/English dictionary, a camera, and rock/paper/scissors. I got a Hello Kitty phone strap for it already. Oh, and the text entry for Japanese is easier than I would have guessed.

I have apparently been tapped to carry a bundle of Eric in the Elevator ribbons for delivery to you at Worldcon, assuming they arrive in Fremont before I leave at Noon on the 24th. You'll have to try and find me, though. I'm staying at the Intercontinental, and I'll have a G-phone too, but don't know the number yet. Also, I'm on a panel about "Introduction to the WSFS Business Meeting" on the Thursday afternoon of the convention.

Re: Ribbons
Thank you, kevin_standlee! hazelchaz expects to have them in hand tomorrow, so it's a pretty good bet that you will have them in time. ;-D

P.S.: The ribbons are as in this icon. %-}

My computer doesn't speak Japanese. Your Location came out ??,??
Other than that, glad you are enjoying yourself in Japan. Even if you aren't eating Japanese food. I know they got everything, but still...
At least you aren't sleeping in one of those cubbyhole things.
Please give out lots of reports for those of us less fortunate than you.
