Nice skirt...
Has anyone ever done do-it-yourself skirting on a mobile home? Any suggestions, even if you haven't?

Some places that sell skirting, partly for my own reference:

Some local places that might help:

I wonder if I can get purple skirting...

I've replaced a few pieces that blew off one winter... It's not that hard but there's a lot of pieces to go all the way around... You're probably talking $1000+ just in materials.

I think the cheaper stuff was less than half that for do-it-yourself kits... for my 14-wide...

Ahh, mine's 24-50+... I forgot you had a single.

Why did I read that as "mobile phone"? (>_<)

I'm like, "duhh, what's skirting? Is that like when you change the faceplate and stuff? Are you talking about modding it?"

I'm not stupid, honest. :D

economical
you know.. they sell prefab lattice sheets at home depot and OSH... generally they are for nailing to 4x4's for ivy, grape vines, etc.. or to surround and go over a hot tub for semi-privacy.. but I have seen them cut down the middle and used as skirts.. and being wood they can be painted any color you chose. I dunno how much they run.. but i would assume in the neighborhood of 20$ea .. and if they measure as plywood 4x6 or 6x10.. feasibly you could do 14 feet with one sheet.. paint is generally expensive, but can be cheap if you find a sale.. or go with a common or nasty color.

just a thought

Re: economical
er.. maybe 3 sheets depending on the height of skirting needed.. eg 6x10 c/2 = 6x5 or 3x10 depending on axis cut
