anime... horror
Hi! So, I have volunteered to do anime for LosCon this year. LosCon changes a lot each year, so maybe this won't be a permanent commitment...

LosCon's themes this year are:

Friday: Horror
Saturday: Dress Like a Pirate Day
Sunday: Honoring Writers and Artists

Now the first two sound like themes I can easily fit with the anime room. Sunday... well, I'll think of something. I don't know if I can come up with enough licensed DVDs with anime about writers and artists, but we'll see. I could always go random or pick some other theme.

I've already done the pirate theme for BayCon.
Horror... well, I can think of vampires, and Portrait of Petite Cossette... what horror-themed anime do you recommend? Thanks!

I'd suggest Ghost Hunt as horror anime. Especially the later episodes are pretty tense.

As for anime about writers and artists: what about Doujin Work?

Hmmm...I guess it depends on how 'horror' you want it to be... I'll list stuff and you can pick and choose what you like.

Tsukihime
Vampire Princess Miyu
Vampire Hunter D
Gantz
Boogiepop Phantom
Kakurenbo
Jigoku Shoujo
Red Garden
Wicked City (ah gahd old school lol)
Devil Man/Lady
xxxHolic (kinda...it's got comedy but some disturbing spiritual stuff at times...)
Berserk
Claymore
Blood: The Last Vampire

...again, it depends on how close you want to be to the definition of horror or if you're find with it having monsters, ghosties or ghoulies...
