Silicon?
I am quite evented-out, but I could certainly go relax at Silicon some this weekend. Anyone else going? Remember that parking is $7.

I wonder who designed their website. Not bad.

I'm a bit too far away this weekend, sowwy!

I wonder who designed their website. Not bad.
I'm going to guess it's Joomla! based, using a theme by pc-erlernen.de and modified by ShinyWeb for SiliCon. ;)

Did you know all that at a glance, or were you somehow involved? :D

From the bottom of the index page:
Grey and black background, with an icon of a rocket ship on the right hand side. Text says '(c) 2007 SiliCon San Jose, CA Oct 5-7, 2007 Joomla! is Free Software released under the GNU/GPL License. Theme by pc-erlernen.de and modified by ShinyWeb for SiliCon.'

Ah, smart!
Btw, nice alt tag! Helpful in pine.

Hmm showing up for parties one night might be fun... the registration page only says when they're open and not how much though... hmmm... also not sure what else I gotta do this weekend...

I recommend Saturday night. :) Let me know if you want a ride from Bart. Though he does live in ABQ now, and you can probably get a ride from someone else now. :)

The design is pretty, but the content needs serious help, IMO. I've been trying to figure out the programming schedule for the better part of a week, and it was only just today that I discovered there were individual daily pages - linked at the VERY BOTTOM of the front page, and nowhere on the Programming main page that I could see. So I was working from the copy on the Programming page...which has Sunday listed first. o.O

I'll be at the BayCon table on Saturday between 1 and 4.

I must have been lucky to stumble onto the programming links right away, so I didn't notice. Yes, that is counterintuitive. See you there!

We'll be there all weekend.

Our usual bouncing around doing having to much fun.

I'll be there. Manning the CC26 table and helping with parties.

Yes the automagic prev/next links in Joomla leave MUCH to be desired, it acts as LIFO stack mechanism and cannot be changed as far as I have determined so far. So the order in which articles is posted is the opposite order in which they spit out. Next year when I get to design the whole site from scratch instead of just picking it up in the last month and patching it up as best I can, it will be MUCH different.

I'll drop in a bit when I can, subject to usual caveats about work.

I kind of wish I was, but it's really not feasible. I have too much to do here.
